About these prices: All prices were sourced from cafés’ published menus or their official WhatsApp Business menus, as checked in October 2026. Drink sizes, ingredients, and preparation methods may vary between cafés, so prices are not necessarily for identical drinks. Prices are subject to change, and we recommend confirming directly with the café before ordering.
Matcha is appearing on more café menus around Paramaribo, and there’s now more to choose from than the classic matcha latte. Strawberry matcha, flavored lattes, and other creative variations are also finding their way onto local menus, but prices aren’t always easy to find online.
So how much does matcha cost in Paramaribo? And how do prices compare between cafés?
We’ve put together a comparison of published matcha prices from five cafés in Paramaribo, using their official menus and WhatsApp Business listings. You’ll find available drink options and prices in Surinamese dollars (SRD), all in one place.
This is a price comparison, not a ranking of the best matcha in Paramaribo. Drink sizes, ingredients, and preparation methods can vary between cafés, so the prices aren’t necessarily for identical drinks. And of course, the cheapest option isn’t always the one you’ll enjoy most.
To keep the comparison as fair as possible, we’re looking at the basic matcha latte offered by each café, without additional flavors, toppings, or milk substitutions.
Most cafés offer a classic iced matcha latte, while SHLX Café lists its drink as a Green Matcha Latte. Drink sizes and preparation methods may vary, so prices aren’t necessarily for identical drinks.
Here’s what you’ll pay at each café:
| Café | Price (SRD) |
|---|---|
| SHLX Café* | 250 |
| Three Little Beans | 250 |
| Overdoughsed | 250 |
| The Maillard Café | 300 |
| Moka Coffee Bar | 330 |
SHLX Café confirmed in a comment on this article that its Green Matcha Latte costs SRD 250, although its official WhatsApp Business menu still lists SRD 240. We’ve updated our comparison to reflect the price confirmed directly by the café.
SHLX Café, Three Little Beans, and Overdoughsed are tied for the lowest matcha latte price at SRD 250.
The Maillard Café charges SRD 300, while Moka Coffee Bar is the most expensive at SRD 330.
Moka specifically advertises its matcha as ceremonial grade, although this designation alone doesn’t guarantee higher quality. The grade and origin of the matcha used at the other cafés haven’t been confirmed.
There’s an SRD 80 difference between the lowest and highest prices. Keep in mind that serving sizes, ingredients, and the amount of matcha used may differ between cafés.
If price is your main priority, SHLX Café, Three Little Beans, and Overdoughsed are equally affordable at SRD 250.
SHLX Café also stands out for offering six different matcha drinks, including flavored options such as Salted Caramel Matcha, Berry Vanilla Matcha, and White Chocolate Matcha. Its published WhatsApp menu lists these drinks at SRD 240, but the café has since confirmed a price of SRD 250 for its Green Matcha Latte. Prices for the flavored variations haven’t been separately confirmed.
Of course, the cheapest matcha isn’t necessarily the best value. Serving size, matcha quality, strength, and personal taste all play a role. Based on the prices in this comparison, three cafés share the lowest starting price among the five compared.
The Maillard Café has an extensive matcha menu, with plenty of options beyond the classic iced matcha latte. The regular iced matcha latte costs SRD 300, while flavored versions such as strawberry, raspberry, and strawberry cream are available for SRD 335.
For something different, there’s the Matcha Coconut Cloud (SRD 300) or the Peach Lime Matcha Refresher (SRD 270). Coffee lovers can also try a dirty matcha latte, which combines matcha with espresso, for SRD 335 iced or SRD 265 hot.
Hot matcha drinks start at SRD 190, with options including a matcha cappuccino and a traditional matcha latte.
The café also offers almond, coconut, oat, and soy milk for an additional SRD 50. Extra matcha, cold foam, honey, and additional syrups are available for the same surcharge.
The matcha menu is available at The Maillard Café’s locations in Noord and Zuid.

Three Little Beans has a colorful matcha menu, with everything from classic iced lattes to fruity refreshers and sweeter specialty drinks. The regular iced matcha latte costs SRD 250, while the strawberry matcha latte and dirty matcha latte, which includes espresso, are both SRD 300.
For something more refreshing, there’s a Yuzu Matcha Refresher and a Lychee Matcha Refresher, each priced at SRD 300. The Ube Matcha Latte (SRD 350) is the most expensive matcha option on the menu.
All matcha drinks are served iced. Three Little Beans also offers a separate hojicha menu, featuring roasted Japanese green tea drinks starting at SRD 200.
Milk alternatives, including oat, soy, almond, and coconut, cost an additional SRD 30. Customers can also customize their drinks with cold foam, flavored syrups, or an extra shot of matcha for SRD 70. Upsizing a matcha costs an additional SRD 150.
Moka Coffee Bar keeps its matcha menu fairly simple, with a focus on traditional matcha drinks rather than fruity or heavily flavored variations. The regular Matcha Latte costs SRD 330, and Moka specifically advertises its matcha as ceremonial grade.
For those who enjoy combining coffee and matcha, there’s a Dirty Matcha Latte for SRD 360. Moka also offers a Nitro Matcha Latte (SRD 360), giving customers another way to enjoy their matcha.
Milk alternatives, including oat, soy, almond, and coconut, are available for an additional SRD 55. Flavored syrups such as caramel, chocolate, and vanilla can also be added for SRD 55.
Compared with the other cafés in this guide, Moka has fewer matcha variations, but its use of ceremonial-grade matcha is a distinguishing feature. The menu doesn’t specify whether its matcha lattes are served hot, iced, or both, so it’s worth checking when ordering.
Overdoughsed offers a classic iced matcha latte for SRD 250, making it one of the most affordable options in our comparison. Customers can also adjust the sweetness of their drink, choosing between normal, extra sweet, less sweet, or no sweetener, all at no additional cost.
For something different, Overdoughsed currently has two matcha drinks on its Summer Drop menu: Iced Mango Matcha (SRD 350) and Matcha Coconut Cloud (SRD 350).
There’s plenty of room for customization, too. Oat, almond, soy, and coconut milk are available for an additional SRD 40, as are flavored syrups including vanilla, lavender, caramel, hazelnut, and salted caramel.
Overdoughsed has locations in both Paramaribo Noord and Zuid, and customers can browse the menu and place orders through its online ordering platform.
SHLX Café offers a Green Matcha Latte for SRD 250, making it one of the most affordable matcha lattes in our comparison. The café also has several flavored variations listed on its menu.
The menu includes Salted Caramel Matcha, Berry Vanilla Matcha, Pink Fraise Matcha, White Chocolate Matcha, and Dirty Matcha, each advertised at SRD 240 on the café’s official WhatsApp Business menu.
Interestingly, all six matcha drinks are listed at the same price on the published menu. However, SHLX Café has since confirmed in a comment on this article that its Green Matcha Latte costs SRD 250. It’s unclear whether this updated price also applies to the flavored variations.
The menu doesn’t specify whether the drinks are served hot or iced, or whether milk substitutions are available. Upsizing, however, is available.
Price source: Official SHLX Café WhatsApp Business menu, October 2026, and a subsequent price confirmation from SHLX Café in the comments of this article. The confirmed Green Matcha Latte price of SRD 250 differs from the SRD 240 listed on the published menu.
Of course, these aren’t the only places serving matcha in Paramaribo! CY Coffee, NŪMA Café, and Matcha Loft are also worth mentioning, with their own selection of matcha drinks and specialty creations.
We weren’t able to confirm their current prices for a standard matcha latte so they haven’t been included in the price comparison. They’re still worth checking out, especially Matcha Loft, which specializes in matcha drinks.
